This week I interview Professor Tom Lewis, the Director of Nottingham Law School’s Centre for Rights and Justice. Tom’s main research areas lie in the field of human rights and constitutional law and history. He has particular interests in the rights to freedom of expression and freedom of religion or belief, and in the European Convention on Human Rights and the UK’s Human Rights Act.
We discuss the current state of UK policing, the rights and the wrongs of the BLM and Kill the Bill protests and the challenges for the police in protecting young black men in the inner cities from knife-crime without being accused of racism.
